Brief by Julian Montague
Domestika (Course) – Minimalist Graphic Design for Big Ideas
The fictional publisher name and brand identity, Oculus Books, derived around the meaning of
‘a window to our souls’. This was graphically explored through the Mid-century / minimalist design aesthetic with a gothic twist. The jagged eye is represented through a minimalistic series
of triangles and circular shapes.
The fictional author and psychological book series around human’s relationships with one another was explored through experimentations in words and shapes: Circles, Triangles and Squares.
With further exploration around the subject matter of relationships, this then delved into the different types
of relationships humans may encounter.
